CEIAG – Subject Leads and Teachers
At Wargrave House School we have a careers programme in place that ensures that every child will be well equipped for the future and have the information and opportunities they need to make realistic and informed decisions about further education, training and employment.
Linking curriculum to careers
All subject leads and teachers should link curriculum learning with careers:
- Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subject leads and teachers should highlight the relevance of STEM subjects for a wide range of future career paths.
- By the age of 14, every learner should have the opportunity to learn how the different STEM subjects help people to gain entry to a wide range of careers.
- All subject leads and teachers emphasize the importance of succeeding in English and Maths.

Further support
Request support from your Careers Leader/ Enterprise Coordinator to bring in a guest speaker to talk to learners about careers or to deliver part of a lesson. The STEM Ambassador Programme or Inspiring the Future can support with this.
